Edward is the Managing Partner at Laurel Bank Surgery, a rural dispensing practice in Southwest Cheshire. He is a Board member of the Rural Alliance PCN and has been in practice management for 7 years. In the last 5 years he has navigated his practice through the COVID pandemic, through an extensive live-site premises development programme, and is now leading a merger with a local practice. A former flying instructor, if Edward appears to be staring into space, it’s probably just that he is gazing at the sky.

With a background in hospitality management, I transitioned to the NHS in 2019 as a Practice Manager, becoming a Managing Partner in 2024. I joined IGPM in 2022, achieving accreditation in 2024 and soon after became Regional Representative for Cheshire and Merseyside ICB. I also serve as a Practice Manager Advisor for Liverpool, supporting and mentoring new and developing managers to thrive in their roles. I’m passionate about running, I regularly compete in marathons and ultra-trail events. Outside of work, I’m a proud father of three girls, balancing a busy career with family life and my love for endurance challenges.
