Caroline O’Dwyer

With over 30 years of experience in practice management, I began my journey at reception and steadily progressed through various roles. I’ve always had a strong interest in staff training and development, which naturally evolved into a more strategic and business-focused role. Over time, I’ve worked closely with federations and Primary Care Networks (PCNs), and became a partner five years ago. This leadership position introduced me to the Institute of General Practice Management (IGPM), whose mission deeply resonated with me. I now proudly support and promote the vital work IGPM does through my role as a regional representative, championing practice managers nationwide.

Areas of interest

  • One of my greatest passions is running—it all began with parkrun, where I started by walking, hobbling, and eventually running my first 5k. I’m now a proud parkrun advocate, and that first step led to longer distances, including completing the London Marathon
